    Hi sir
  • Intolerable wrist pain amidst GS-4.

For the life of me, I can never understand UPSC's obsession with demanding frenetic writing pace.

How does it help? To complete the paper, people end up writing average answers across the paper. How does it bring out the difference between a candidate of quality and a candidate of mediocrity? How does the trait of 'being able to write 3500-4000 words furiously in 3 hours' reflect your knowledge or administrative capability?

We also have the option of writing 10 questions of 15 marks perfectly and leave others..even this could fetch 100 odd marks
    But nobody takes that option

P.s. dont take it personally.just saying

I also attempted full paper in the last 2 days..attempted even those questions which I had no knowledge about
Even in humanities , 10/15 is achievable if we know our stuff.

anyway by personally, I meant about my opinion and not UPSC☺

    All the best
