Local desert windows cooler which uses an exhaust fan is a good option. For a terrace room, buy a cooler which is to be kept outside near the window.
Donot buy indoor cooler. If you are not going to stay in delhi for many years, its better to buy a local one.

Symphony coolers work indoors well... but definitely not an option as u stay on terrace ! Humidity with heat is unbearable

For terrace, indoor cooler will not be helpful. Indoor one is good in flat type house. Branded ones which are kept at windows are double the price of local ones for the same amount of volume of air. For eg. if a local one cost around 5k, for the similar capacity branded one like kenstar would cost around 10k.
  • @Sanjeev0120 the power cuts are not that frequent.
  • @GeneralKuribayashi Thanks a lot bro your valuable suggestion as helped me to decide what should I buy now thanks once again.
  • Rent an 18 inch local desert cooler for 500 rs per month and some advance security... and if u go for an indoor cooler... do buy an exhaust fan also ehich controls humidity.... better go for desert cooler local made
