Not able to decide an optional

Hi,
I am stuck between Pub Ad and Sociology as my optional subject.
I have gone through basic reference material of both (infact i have read 2-3 books for pub ad) and find them equally interesting.
My problem arose when I reffered to past year paper.
I was not able to comprehend some questions in pub ad paper while socio seemed more approchable.
Keeping in mind that I am preparing for 2016 and i have't joined any coaching for any of these 2 papers yet, can somebody suggest the way forward.

P.S: I feel pub ad is more technical and rattafication is required while Socio seems to be more cozy. Please let me know if I am wrong!!
