Now I have started to believe that since there are a number of people with 112+ marks so the cutoff will be somewhere near 112 itself. It might be 105-112. Under no circumstance cutoff would go below 100.
It is futile to keep hopes high.
See people are saying that in last year along with csat the average in GS1 was around 85 or so..... however they fail to notice that in last 2-3 years people did not score 140,150,etc in GS1. This time there are many with such high scores. It simply means that paper was easy and people were better prepared. Secondly there is nobody coming up with low scores like 30,40,50.... even the first timers and ill prepared ones have scored around 75-80 in GS1. Therefore it is very clearly visible that cutoff is going to sore high .
It won''t be wrong at all to expect a cutoff of 100+.
Now coming to the sample size. Some people are arguing here that forumias has the best & most serious students as far as CSE is concerned so the polls on forumias may not present a true picture. However that is a wrong conclusion because it is the most serious students who make it through prelims. The sole purpose of prelims is to filter out only the serious candidates and allow only them to appear in mains.
Hence if u have committed lots of silly mistakes and are scoring between 90-100 and are hopeful. I would say , get real. Look around what the polls are saying.
These polls and the coaching predictions are not very wrong . I have been seeing this since last 2 years. In 2013 the paper was easy and the cutoff sored to 240 while in 2014 the paper was tough so cutoff came down to 205.
Those who are scoring 90-100 and creating lot of fuss here are the ones whi committed lots of silly mistakes. It is not possible to score in this range without commiting silly mistakes.
There are always some better prepared ones who avoid blind guessing and silly mistakes at all costs . they are the ones who have scored 120+
Then there are some who did lots of guess work, they are perhaps crowded around 70-80.
Don't criticize me , you can ask yourself and get and honest answer from yourself . have you not committed silly mistakes ? Could such kind of silly mistakes have sailed you through prelims in 2011/2012/2013 or 2014 ? then why do you expect a miracle to happen this year . Why do you expect that many would have committed silly mistakes like you and so cutoff should be lower ?
The truth is that if many would have committed silly mistakes then many wouldn't have been scoring 120+.

OBC, Most probably it is on lower side I.e.86-88.
112 and above are being considered same alike...

Though I am scoring 94. But seeing the poll and also the document maintained by forumias here : http://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1y3mzd9iG97NZGmdnpYACHFvjN2uKketzqLWuyWSonwo/htmlview?sle=true#
