@rootI know this aspect was discussed in the forums earlier, but I can't find it. I think it was

@AyushSinha who had written about this.. If a thread exists, please merge this thread.
Below which rank/percentile in a test series would spell danger. I mean one should be in the top X% to be sure of selection in CSAT.
I have given two attempts, cleared prelims with no coaching no test series. but could not clear mains. I took test series for the first time and I am 'shocked at my performance' (has to do with intense workload at office?)

So out of the semi-serious and serious aspirants, a percentile of 90 will be enough to qualify for the mains. Also, if someone is actually making the effort of giving a test series, then it implies a certain level of seriousness. So in that particular sample set, a percentile of 75-80 would be equal to a percentile of 90+ among all the prelims aspirants.
Therefore, I would say that a percentile of at least 80 would be enough for prelims in your test series. Though, of course 90-95+ would be ideal.
What test series have you taken?

@neyawn What do you think would be a "good/safe/decent" rank, say in the CLs mocks ? I have tried my best to be in the top 2% i.e. the "topper-list" that CL declares. Lol! But my rank hover around 240-320!
very relieved to hear this from you.
From last two tests i was getting these ranks and was terrified.. :-SS
