If you could share it here.. Everyone can get benefited..
  • Points to be noted..
    1. Essay should be neatly divided into three parts -
Intro - form the basis of further discussion
Body - most imp thing is to try presenting multiple ''perspectives'', as many u can.
    Don't stretch any unnecessarily.
    Give real - life examples.
Use simple language intentionally even if u can write flowery sentences. Don't ever, EVER give an impression that u r 'coaching-industry-fed' (it applies to all papers, I think that cost me big in gs paper 2 last year)
Conclusion- balanced but optimistic view, possible solutions.

    2. Spend 20-25 minutes to creating a rough idea. Write diff points in each of three parts.

    3. Divide neatly and keep the three parts of almost fixed length.for eg- if u r writing an 8 page essay, I end suggest - 1.5 of intro, 5 of body, 1.5 of conclusion.

    4. Opt for the safer topic.

    5. If u r short on time , compromise a bit on the body of each essay rather than on the intro and conclusion.BUT try not giving such an impression.

    6. Write a separate point in each paragraph with one paragraph of the length of about 3/4th of a page.

The ultimate advice- take at ur own risk..
'' try giving an impression that u r a well read person who definitely does not have an access to the coaching - walas.''
I scored 137 but a lot of people must have scored better. They can share their views.

A thorough question-by-question discussion of the GS Paper I of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2015. The presentation is detailed and the relevant sources/resources have been provided. A street-smart method to pick the right answer even with limited (or no!) information has also been explained.

Let me quote the reverse..as I said my gs paper 2 probably was ruined coz of that, I think so.
In paper 2 I was actually very well prepared and I even thot it was my best.then y did I score less ( 60 as compared to 85 in paper 1 when I thot paper2 was better )
    1. I mentioned lot if judgements, examples which probably might hav given the impression that , me being coaching - fed , am over - enthusiastic to showcase my knowledge.
    2. The effect of trying to showcasing such knowledge is that we then try to focus our answer more on that or if I can say, we somehow try to include them in answers which actually diverts our answer from the actual requirement without us even realising that.
    3. The proof of that cud be my essay and ethics score-137 and 100 respectively, even when I did not prepare a single day for them, literally not a single minute of preparation and writing in a plain simple language without complicating anything.
    Hope it helps.good luck.
  • there is no guru mantra or moolmantra which supposed be to be considered as private & confidential. The only mantra for essay is go practice many times. That's it.M
