That only with third person singulars - he/she/it/etc.
Eg. He conveys, She conveys, It conveys.... but I convey.... ">
Let me also convey further that learning English is easy. Just get one grammar book, Wren and Martin preferably. Seek help from elders/juniors near you who are good in English and grammar. Learn the basic syntax.
Learning vocab is good but you must not sacrifice English grammar at the altar of fancy words. What good it would serve if you know a high sounding word but does not know which part of the speech it belongs to? Hain na? ">

My personal opinion is that TV series and Movies do not contribute much to your spoken english and none to your written English.
They just give you an illusion that if you understand American accent then you are improving at English. Neither do they contribute much to vocabulary nor to structuring of sentences. Most of the times they use slangs, half built sentences and often kill grammar.
Infact they hamper the process of learing proper usage and turn people into "ya ya I know... see ya guyz" type dudes... there is no substitute to good reading.
Agree with you.But talk shows do help a lot.I started with watching debates and discussion on Rajya Sabha TV or random interviews on you tube.For example this

@focus2014 Absolutely ! They do help... All I wanted to say was that not to solely rely on them or not to make them fulcrum of your English improvement programme.
Make the videos/movies/TV shows your starters (or dessert) but not Main-course meal.

@Iasahil Read any thing that interests you... It all depends on your interests... There isn't any one novel / writer which would help improve English... Just have that habit of reading.
For a start, you can go with some short stories from R.K Narayan, or novels from Paulo Coelho / Enid Blyton.
For vocab, always keep a good dictionary app like Merriam Webster in your phone for quickly looking up any new word you come across. Also read Norman Lewis. For grammar , Cambridge grammar books are much better than Wren.and Martin.
