Folks who will be writing mains this year or in future, i want to bring t your kind attention that answer sheets are blank. with increasing stress on speed and level of difficulty, almost all of us are under tremendous time pressure. As a result, our handwriting wavers in the last one hour or so, giving a definite advantage to those with beautiful handwriting. Our efforts of preparation should not go waste due to such trivial issues. Therefore i appeal to you that we can send representation to the Commission to provide LINED answer sheets as it is provided in RAS exam. it will
1. Help us to maintain a straight handwriting throughout making it much more orderly and neat
2. Help us to easily count the words
3. will be sort of equal to those with big and small handwriting(with a minor difference and not major one as in current pattern)
I would like to remind you folks that in 2013, representation made the commission release a sample paper on ethics and representation for pub ad last year saved it (probably ) from indiscriminate butchering like that of 2012... Humble appeal to the members and Chairman can make the change happen and wont harm us in any way... we can put up a sample draft here on forum which everybody an download and send. 5,000 letters would definitely make them consider this and also the tremendous word limit... Please give your suggestion. i am grateful to all of you for considering this matter...

Aise to phir Ques -cum - Ans booklet ki jagah pehle waala system restore karne ko bhi bolo.. Ques -cum- Ans booklet ki wajah se luck ka role badh jaata hai..
reason : first impression is the last impression.. if u dont answer the first few answers well, u are bound to get less marks even if u write the later answers exceedingly well...(Examiner's psychology)
In earlier system, one had the leeway to answer the ques , one knows the best .....
But this is UPSC..... and luck rules!!
qustion cum answer booklet mein unka fayda hai. .. copies can be checked easily with specific answers in a serial pattern. so it suits them. but lined sheets suits both us and them. try karne mein kya jaata hai? sirf download , printout, sign and post....
Most people (including me) won't ever like this idea...and it should be the least of your concern, lined/blank sheet wont matter if you know the answer of the questions.
