This year GS marks will be more liberal to make its marks deciding factor. 2. marks in optionals will be lesser, on the lines of 2013. ie 200-210 marks in optionals will be good marks n highest can be around 250-260. 3. mains results in 2nd-3rd week of march, interview from april 1st week.

ias021 January 6 edited January 6 Flag Hi friends... let me share something with you..don't try to compare cut off of different years..In 2014 initial cut off for general was near 550 which was later increased to 679 by using some complex methodology..don't be surprised if this year cut off drops back to 550..even though performance of students this year is better... kabira_1FuChi

brother, the info i have shared is not the trend of raw marks of gs or optionals....abhi to checking start hi hue hai...but every year before the start of copy checking a general instruction is given to the copy checkers about the marking pattern to be adopted that year (liberal or strict marking in each papers of gs, essay n different optionals), that is what i have shared. and i had given genuine infos earlier also for past 2-3 yrs but with different id; i was the first one to cutoff of prelims to be 105-106 n got abused like anything that time.Even India bhai said 100 but I always said it is to be 105-106.
anyway it up to u guys either to believe or not. I shared what i came to know n will be sharing in future also.

Ps:upsc is thinking of declaring results in February itself so that entire process gets over by April end..nothing confirmed though.. iss baar language paper bi asaan the..so casualties kam h..essay mein bi evaluation is strict..not like last time
