Pay hike after 7th Pay commission

Considering the latest cabinet decision on pay hike based on 7th pay commission recommendations, what could be the entry level pay of IAS officers? This is what I calculated for those clearing 2016 exam.

Basic - 56100
DA - 18% of basic - 10098
HRA - 0 (accomodation provided for IAS officers)
TA - 0 (vehicle provided for IAS officers)

Deductions:

Income Tax - Rs 5000 approx
PF - 7945 (12% of Basc)
Group Insurance - Rs 120 (Cabinet decided not to agree for a steep hike here)
NPS - 6620

Net Pay - Rs 46513

Those in service, please correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S - No sermons of asking me to concentrate on Prelims please. I know it.

Dude, you have missed PF in the deductions. It will go down further. Also basic is 56100 as per the report.

Also, I'm not sure whether officers will get Travel Allowance as they get govt vehicles.

Sir, I'm not sure how it works in govt. Since you are a selected candidate you might have got better insights into the pay structure. Please let us know whether both NPS and PF is deducted.

    @mango_dolly sir

    You can also clarify buddy.

see i have clarified in the picture above the various deductions ..
So, CGHS, CGEGIS, Professional Tax, Income Tax, NPS !
In govt. service (group A) there is no EPF @ source. Instead we have NPS. You can also start an EPF account but that will be on your own.

The pay I have shown in picture above may NOT be correct to the last rupee .. as many details about the exact proposal being approved is not yet known .. but atleast it will give you some idea .. tolerance of +/- 4-5K .. here and there will be there !
  • Does it even matter? Kya farrak padta hain? After all, we all are here to 'serve the nation', and not to worry about our paycheck... isn't it so?
