i am just not able to search the relevant facts. please some body help.

    I do not know the exact technical details, but these are some of the points which can be helpful
    - Gslv launch with indigenous cryogenic engine
    - It is modification of PSLV, in which it retains first 2 stage of PSLV, third stage is of cryogenic engine.
    - Cryogenic technology involves the use of rocket propellants at an extremely low temperature, it uses liquid fuel.
    - Russia was not able to transfer us cryogenic technology under US pressure in 1990s, but it gave us 7 cryogenic rocket stage.
    -Former ISRO scientist recently said that India would have developed Cryogenic Engine by now, if indiscriminate arrest were not made in ISRO espionage case.
    - India has only 2 cryogenic rocket stages left, one will be used for this launch and other is used for test purposes.
    - It is obligatory for India now to develop its own cryogenic stage, since Russia may not give us more rocket stages or the cost may be too prohibitive.
    - The Gslv-D3 launch is quite important since it will result in India developing its indigenous cryogenic capability.
    - This is necessary to launch heavier satellite into space.
    - Since last launch was failure it is important that we get success this time.
    - GSAT-D7 was recently launched by European space agency, from the rocket Ariane costing 480 cr
