guys plz an important question are we automatically nt allowed to attend FC if we write prelims? or is it at our discretion to intimate them/decide based on the performance of prelims/ service allocation i read smwhr on forum that its automatic what if i later(aftr prelims) decide i want to join then? plz confirm its imprtnt to tk a decision at this moment @Neyawn@mango_dolly@JohnSnow@yoga123 others please say

Same doubt. Earlier during registration they used to ask if you are appearing for prelims. But I think things may be different this year as service allocation would take time and prelims is few days away.

this was my 5th attempt. 4th mein select hua tha but Sirf 5 service preferences bhari thi. Isliye mila nahin kuch.

Yes. Already in a small PSU. I am 33 and at this stage I don't want to make anymore choices or gamble with my career. Therefore, I restricted services to only 5. I did a thorough research on every service mentioned in the DAF. Though, every service has its own pros and cons but IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS IT, IRS CCE, IAAS promises better career in terms of timely promotion ,salary, respect, prestige, work satisfaction etc than rest of the Group A services. However, groups B services like DANICS & PONDICS are equivalent to IAS in terms of job profile and power but are discriminated against the IAS. DANICS & PONDICS get inducted to IAS very late (like 20 & 15 years resp.).
