  • friends last year i solely relied on baliyan sir's classnotes and got average marks.
This year i want to increase my in depth knowledge and trying to read few books.
    i am reading following books

    Modern- Shekhar Bandopadhyaya
    World- ranjan chakrabarty
ancient selected chapters from upinder singh
medieval - satish chandra both volumes

Please correct if anything else is needed and also suggest if any portion can be dropped.
I also needed help in deciding important topics from upinder singh's ancient India

    Thank You

  • How was your score? Even I followed the same strategy. Got 100 + 96 only. :(
  • Any suggestion for history optional test series.
I was a classroom student of Baliyan's So I know the type of remarks he gives usually, therefore don't want to join it.
Hemant jha was another option but the programme already got started there and they are giving admission on the condition that they won't check the 2 missed tests. So 2/10 already gone. So I don't want to join it either 'coz I wanted to join for writing not for getting handout of test and its solution.
So I just want to know if there is any other option where some flexibility is there. plus proper guidance can also be provided. Going to write mains for the first time so I am already in need of lot of guidance regarding mains preparation for histiry optional.
