  • Well I am not a married aspirant but I believe Mithali Sethi's blog is a good place to start. So is Suruchi Choudhary's post on insightsindia. Please go through their posts.

Additionally, being flexible helps if you are working married woman especially as routine and set timings will require some adjustment from your end, cooperation from family members. I remember watching an interview by a female IAS officer who used to be a school teacher.

She said that she managed to find 3-4 hours day despite her rather hectic schedule. I dont know about your circumstances truth be said.

Whatever the case, when there is a will, you will find a way.

Regular short duration study, proper plan is required. Keeping your emotions under control is key as there will be several ups and downs.

I hope others here will have relevant points to say about the challenges they encounter.
  • I may not be the typical married woman as I do not stay with my in laws. I have stayed at time in Delhi and at times in my home.

One thing for sure , which I think is that if you have family commitments, you must start early. Prelims must abolutely be in control. also you will need at least 2 months before prelims and 2 months before 24x7 without any committments to prepare well.

you can also take a look at poonam dalal. she was pregnant when she was writing the exam

i have met her, as she is in the same service as my husband, and she was already working with haryana police,so she is the kind of person you may want to take some tips from.
