Hello all !

I'm starting this New Thread dedicated for some specific purpose.

Yesterday Mains result was declared. Few people (including lucky me ! ) qualified for next step (not final selection still !). However a lot more failed to do so. Undoubtedly all those who passed the 2nd hurdle must be having good knowledge and skills or I say they successfully deciphered the "Key2UnlockMains".

However most of those not qualified this year or in worst case exhausted their attempts, You too are equally or atleast REASONABLY Good. THIS IS A THREAD FOR YOU.

I have reasonable level experience in Coaching "Industry" of Delhi in last few years so understand many of it's basics (and even DEEPs!). I have seen many comments and got personal messages regarding queries related to coaching industry job avenues. Many voices look shattered in disdain, hopelessness, frustration and Fear of unsecure future. So I am making this thread specifically for this purpose.


All of those who have given more than 2-3 yrs of serious efforts in this process can make a reasonably good monthly income.

I will share here MY answers to all specific/general queries as well as INFORMATION which i get anytime w.r.t. this arena.

I also urge/request to ANY AND ALL experienced souls who have Coaching job experience (backend/frontend) to contribute nuggets of their experienced wisdom.


I am sure this thread in future will help bust the clouds of secrecy which is build by the coaching industry which often exploits the vulnerability of already vulnerable and struggling aspirants in order to realize their priority goal i.e. - MAXIMIZING PROFIT, MINIMIZING RISK.


So let's begin. It's a mutual contribution thread open for ALL experienced and novice souls.

First Copy-Pasting an old (yet most important) comment w.r.t. what is basic and BEST Payout structure in Delhi UPSC coaching industry

" ....Many factors decide ur payment in Coaching job -

1. Institute level
2. Your level of knowledge
3. Your earlier achievements in upsc zone
4. Your job need intensity
5. Institute need for people 
6. Upsc calendar etc etc 


Depending on this various rates as per my understanding are -

1. Course content development - 200 rs - 1000 ₹ / page (500-700 words each page)

2. Prelims MCQ making - 50₹-250₹ per Question

3. Mains Q and A making - 300₹-1100₹ per Question

4. Gs Copy evaluation - 300₹-750 ₹ /copy

5. Essay copy evaluation - 100-400₹ / copy

6. Permanent content developer (9-5pm job) - 25k-70k pm

7. Class Lectures - 2500 ₹ per lecture - >12k per lecture

8. Counselor / Coordinator kind jobs - 20k-60k ₹ pm


.... so on..

Plus exceptions are everywhere on both sides in each segment. 


Initial focus always shall be on entering the system especially in reputed institutes. After that focus shall be on skill development and multi skilling. Then your choices automatically keep expanding and your payouts keep increasing touching even 20 lakh/annum kind levels after a decade experience or so. 


Rest it keep changing as per factors mentioned in starting. It's my calculation based on self experience and limited knowledge  


PS- Any initial entry > 25k-30k shall be considered good for a newcomer (35k-40k for 1 Interview and/or >~3 mains experience ppl) in this segment. Experience and Quality ensures your rising on scale ..."

IMO Yes. Job is available in Vajiram and Vision atleast. But process is quite regourse. You need to be a person of good experience or atleast of good knowledge to grab the opportunity.

Personally visit the institute offices. In Vaji it's prakhar sharma who deals with this segment. In vision ask for HR segment. Go with a brief resume and tell them about your situation. If you are deserving hopefully they will provide u SAMPLE COPIES for evaluation. (In vision u go thru 10-15 days orientation training before evaluation). If you correct it good you keep getting further copies. Otherwise you will get responses like.. "As of now No copies available. I will tell u whenever available ! "


PS- Evaluation segment is 2nd most rewarding segment of coaching career after teaching one. However u must have caliber to sustain it as per institute's need/standards. Content competence+Art of Commenting both play important role.

Yes. But only if u have that level of Content Competence. Agar maal solid hoga to aapko FREELANCING ka option dedenge lgbhag sbhi institutes.

Yes nepotism is there but ultimately content competence and ur learning mindset raises u beyond hurdles. Ultimately each coaching leader wants a good team at his/her disposal. Entry is difficult everywhere.

So be confident. Talk like officer mindset. Say them clearly that SEE MY WORK then only decide. And then show ur competence in work. Also do ask for review from any of ur experienced friend in any institute or directly from institute's official reviewer.

Ask for all or any kind of work u get in any institute. First enter it. Then show ur competence there. Then they themselves will move u across segment whenever they need.
