My father passed away recently. We had a firm in Apmc, to transfer it to my Mother's name they are asking an NoC from the IT department. Our auditor is telling that my father has not filed his IT for last 3-4 years. Is there a way to know whether he has filed his taxes. I created a login in the website and its showing no records of e-filing. Till date we haven't received any notice from IT department.
you can go to online efiling income tax site if it is filed online it will be availble in e filed return form but if is offline then u have to find copy of acknowledge if at ur home
