Going back to getting formal education after a gap of years. Constant fear lingers of being discriminated on the basis of age by Colleagues and Professors.
Is the fear legit?
If yes, what precautions do I need to take to prevent myself from being treated like an outcast? There'll be projects where I be required to work as a team, not individual.
Pursuing PG at late 20s is no challenge at all...if you are willing to do something , go for it . Don't consider age much . Rather , attending College or university at the young age only ,mostly is a developing world phenomenon . While I was pursuing my Msc. two of my classmates were in 40s and they were always been respected by everyone...I myself pursuing my PhD in my 30s ... and rather I am exceling in it ,which would never have been the case if I had not prepared for upsc . Moreover , I get respect from my peers and even teachers ,as I possess lot more knowledge than my peers do.

One of the most important challenges that you're going to face is to match the energy level of your younger batch mates. You might have to devote twice the amount of time that they require to understand the lectures or complete the assignments. Be open to learning even from youngsters. With age, we become rigid in our thinking. Do try to be flexible, especially when you're working as a team. ATB
