Grain Belts 1. With increasing temperature, the grain belts may move north to Russia and Canada, thereby changing the faces of importers and exporters of food. This will have profound effect on international relations 2. Climate change would mean increased use of insecticides, fertilizers to mitigate the damage caused by climate change. This would mean only economically resourceful, technologically adequate countries will be able to tackle climate change. This would lead to an increase in inequality between nations - have and have nots. Future compromise with regard to climate change would be even more difficult.
Desertification/ Water Hazard 1. There will be increased instances of desertification and water scarcity. This would mean there would be increased conflicts between countries with the head waters and countries in the downstream of rivers. There would be conflicts to take control over fertile lands as well.
