question of the day july 29

edited July 2012 in Science & Tech
Supreme Court recently banned (interim) tourism in core areas of Project Tiger forests saying that states have not demarcated core and buffer zones. What is this core and buffer zone?

see core area is defined in case of Biosphere reserve is the one where absolutely no activity is allowed except limited scientific research. it is the most inner part or core area of any reserve.
While buffer zone is the outer jacket of core area where limited human activity is allowed like limited tourism.
recently Justice Dharmadikari committee has given some guideline of arranging tiger reserves( correct me if there is something missing). actually he has made a parallelism b/w biosphere reserves and tiger reserve.
