  • That is a genuinely confusing question asked by UPSC. @jmmeena @Aks Did you take a look at it? What are you doing about it? Its a cyclic, redundant question!
  • It says Selected or Applied . Selected : No || Applied : Yes

I hope this is not what they ask in decision making or comprehension next year. :P
  • @Neyawn Use philosophical logic, or boolean algebra!
    1+0 = 1 i.e. Yes+No= Yes
I read on some other community that we have to fill yes in that section even if we are appearing for the first time. It's redundant, but it gives another excuse for UPSC to debar our candidature on grounds of "providing misleading information"!

    Things are settled I guess.

    It says:
"Particular of U.P.S.C Examinations/Recruitments by Selection applied for/appeared (including the Civil Services Examination):-"

So, even if one has applied for those other exams like IES, Assistant Commandant etc etc. should also be filled.

I applied in them but didn't appear in exam...Why did I fill those forms !! [-(

Now they can shoot more questions, oh you are also interested in these services !!
  • Any Idea how to find old UPSC notification numbers of the previous CS (p) exams ?
  • you can leave it blank if u dont remember old roll no. or old notification no. It is not Star marked (*).

@face_abhi I am filling yes for that question after much thought.
  • Guys, this is a silly question, but what is the difference between first optional and second optional? It says,

First Optional Subject for paper VI & VII * :
Second Optional Subject for paper VIII & IX *:

Can i put either optionals as first and second?
  • Lol, yes you can. This question was relevant when there was prelims exam involving optional subjects as one of the papers.
  • i want to know whether upsc ask for educational qualification proof in daf or not or whether it is checked at the time of interview. i want to appear in 2015 cse pre but i will be in 4th year ie 7th semester. i will get my degree in may 2016. so can i write cse 2015. plz reply :(
