Can somebody name me any right leaning ancient and medivial Indian History books. I feel there is some ideological gap in DN Jha, sumit sarkar and Bipin Chandra. Before moving on to centrist authors like upinder singh and grover. I want to understand strong rightist viewpoint also.
Bipan is rightist? - I always consider him pro-elite, congress and centrist. I have read his modern india, ISS, ISI - all 3 of them. What made you come to the conclusion of him being rightist. Any reasons or inferences i might have missed.
Shekar Bandyopadhyay - He is more right leaning but he definitely gives a different view to what VD Mahajan and Bipan state.
VD Mahajan - i feel is more in favor of the islamic/turk invaders in his writing.
BL Grover, AR Desai are more nationalist and Desai was more into social aspects.
@thor Probably I have not made my point clear. Neither of them is rightist. I said I wanted to read some right leaning history book to fill up the void. They are infacr anti right or left leaning.
Romila Thapar very recently siad "thank god indus valley civilization is in Pakistan. In India people would have given it a hindu touch
read books of sitaram goyal.....he was the person who challenged romila thapar and other leftist historians on many issues and read one more book "sanskriti ke chaar adhyaay" by famous poet ramdhari singh dinkar..... this is unfortunate that we upsc aspirants have to read books written by biased marxists for clearing exams
JL MEHTA hands down the best author for medieval India.Has truly exposed the real nature of the barbaric invaders and the fallacies of how they enriched our culture et all bs theories propogated by congi(minority obsessed) authors of ncert and others!
