How to handle INDIA AFTER GANDHI at this point of time.

edited August 2014 in History & Culture
for history opting people, i feel its content is disproportionately vast esp who start reading at this point of time. it is not the time to indulge and satisfy the urge of reading. help me guys how to handle it.

  • hey. I'm currently reading this book and found it quite interesting and insightful. though my optional is not history, but still I like to read it to get an overall idea of post-independence India.

Is there any ncert which covers "India since independence" topic. I am preparing for next year. I don't want to read any lengthy books as I have too many history books already. If not ncert then recommend a book which covers this topic in brief.
  • political science NCERT books for class 11 and 12
  • Try crack ias notes for gs paper1. Not as good as the book itself (as nothing is) but will help you sail through.
