Info on topics such as arab nationalism and oil is not so easily available in regular books. I have an old book on world history by majumdar and srivastava which covers this topic.
@Gulfam_Hasan Congrats! Wish u good luck for mains! Feel free to ask anything about medieval. I have done alot of reference work for it in my college days. I am half way through world history now. How's jain and mathur? My professors don't have a good opinion about it
@Prathmesh14 Thanks :-) Jain and Mathur is not a very good book for academics and PG/PhD. But since it is written objectively and covers a LOT, I would love to prefer it over other books.
Baliyan's World History notes are purely from Jain and Mathur only.
And regarding Medieval India, I would love to ask you my doubts.
And since you have done something really significant in History, you could be very helpful for people like me on this forum.
@Gulfam_Hasan Good to talk to people who have managed to clear pre unlike students in my classes in Mumbai. None of them cleared. Since I am an arts students, little scared about CSAT especially maths. But very much comfortable with history. Have done lot of answer writing practice. I am expecting questions this time on French rev, world war 1, decolonization, Utopian socialism, italian unification, Nehru.
Following your advice I won't go for jain and mathur as I have already referred some 5-6 books for world history
hi guys,what r u doing for maps...spectrum no longer seems good enough.Upinder singh has a lot of maps but its very difficult to reproduce in upsc map format

It will be roughly A5 in size, you can download the History Paper-1 from UPSC website, you will get proper idea of map size.
