Friends,
This was my last attempt at civil services. I am hopeful of getting a call this year and planning to prepare for interview while also being engaged at some work.
I do not wish to join the corporate sector straight away. I have studied things quite passionately during the preparation and want to live with this idealist state of mind, at least for few more years.
I want to utilize next few months in learning ropes in some NGO and then take a call whether I have the ability to pursue this as a lifelong work. In this context, I wish to know if you know some NGO where I can learn how to start, how to get funds, how to set up systems, get people etc.
My dilemma is this: I could have volunteered with teach for India etc but the issue is they will attach me with a fellow and I will not be able to get a broad view. Hence, where and how should I look for it. Please note that it is a crucial time for me as after 4-5 months, if I do not feel confident, I ll embrace corporate world.
If some of you can share experiences which can help me in taking decision, I ll be obliged.
PS: I live in Delhi, aged 30, have MBA with ivy league of India (did not want to write this, but thought brief biodata may be needed) and willing to volunteer 24*7 if my needs are fulfilled.
