Bipan Chandra/spectrum are good for covering the Indian National Movement Part Grover can be used to cover 18th century events such as Anglo-French wars, Battle of Plassey, Buxar etc.
Bhai agar optional hai to you definitely can, bahut moti kitab bhi nahi hai aur pre 1857 kafi achcha se deal kiya hai authors ne... But for gs bipan chandra is sufficent..us book me ek flow hai jo aapko bore nahi karega. @Ajitesh_94 Aur post 1857 ke liye Grover se much better hai Bipan
