@phoenixdesires , never been to Delhi and never seen Sriram's or Vajiram's material.
So apologies, can't help here. :)
For non-static stuff, you can refer to Vision booklets, in addition to Insights and Forum's editorials. That should be more than enough, I suppose.
  • @Yo_Yo_Choti_Singh @ DrKingSchultz @ MrPREM_CHOPRA are vajiram yellow books worth reading or online searches should be followed for syllabus topics completion.
i mean if vajiram has given cyber security or water resources etc in their notes then should i follow yellow book as i have found these yellow books less relevent few years ago , or should i depend upon newspapers opinions/columns for non-static topic of syllabus.
But i feel searching and copying is a time consuming onetime effort and at this moment it might have adverse effect. kindly help.
It depends from case to case basis..i have read many Vaji yellow books and found that..

    1) Few of them like Economy, Geography and Ancient India(for prelims) are worth reading.

    2) IR yellow book also good but just for holistic understanding for a fresher ..newspaper is more important thing to cover here !!

    3) rest others not worth reading much bcz current oriented nature of upsc..they just changes year on Yellow books not content in most books..

4)Ethics yellow book are just simple COPY PASTE of ARC 4th report..no extra addition.

    5) World History yellow book is extra hard but well to read for understanding purpose if you have time to read it..mostly ojha sir notes in it..

I have heard that Economy notes of Sriram is also equally good..but then also Economy yellow books especially the one which is mains centric by Kthuriya sir is worth reading :)

Rest prefer Vision now a days !!! Also read just one source per subject.. either sriram or Yellow or vision..better read that single source 2 times :) ATB

    +1

    Thanks.
  • Even polity yellow book is not bad. Some parts like budget, bills are good.

Not bad..i agree ..but Not so Good also.. given the current nature of cse even Laxmikanth is becoming less covering.. So definitely reading yellow books as a prime target for polity is surely inviting Disaster IMO..for quick ending of topic it may seem okk but In polity you know every LINE is equally important.. and definitely Laxmi has more Lines than Vaji yellow.. also yellow books are miniature version of that only :)

But yes the one which pertains to INTERNATIONAL POLITY COMPARISON can definitely be reffered as it is useful and SMALL SOURCE for a hitherto neglected topic in Mains !!!

PS- personal opinion.. but after reading All yellow books along with Vaji notes in last 3 yrs !!! :)
  • Any one can give review about GSScore ethics??
