Abi tk mera Prelims kahin b nhi ruka tha, be it IAS,PCS(even other states too) but last yr. n this yr. UPPCS screwed me....last yr. cut-off ws 275...mine ws 271, jbki mera wo ppr UPSC Pre. s achha hua tha...bt UPSC selected me for Mains,n UPPCS rejected. This yr, my score was around 290-292...10th May ko G.S. m 102-104 question sahi the, jbki CSAT m 79 question sahi kiye.....i ws sure 4 pozitiv outcm....bt heartbroken moment came at morning....i was crashed out, while 10000 are in...kya cut-off 300 hogi? I m shell shocked now, andhera-andhera sa lg ra...kch smj hi ni a rha....n worst thing is...i informed my parents about result at 7 a.m. IAS Mains ke failure k bd ek b result pozitiv nhi.
to my surprise, i am finding myself the only one to be happy after not qualifying for my home state(feeling shamed and angry over the state of affairs in my home-state) pcs after writing pcs 13 mains and pcs 14 mains. Well lemme tell you why i am happy. i presume many of us here are ias aspirants with ias attempts/attempt still left(of course hat exam is presumed to be the toughest with so much uncertainity especially in respect to scaling). But still, pcs 15 paper was leaked presumably the 2nd one as many ppl like me who comfortably cleared previously could not do. Secondly from now on the final result of pcs won't be displayed by names but by Registration Number(Abhishek Bachchan Idea Mobile number type )intention of hte commsission is clear that what it wants to do by such a move. such a rapid pace of exams and result shows that they want to have maximum number o their own people by 2017 (when there may be some changes due to elections)... Now other part is 25 days for exam. i presume people here are from ENGLISH medium for whom hindi would be a bit tough to those ppl from UP Board( i m from isc board so quite tough for me) they would have the edge. ppl like me are from open so only 35-38 % seats r open in pcs . Dat means 10000 executive only 3800 ppl like me were called and further only 500 would be called for interview and 200 selected after all the presumed activities whats going on... the reality is that SDM posts are barely 5-6 for general males.. So writing mains would have been futile and effort wasted wouldnt b to any avail and would ave pressurized IAS where anti-CSAT ppl would be trying hard to maximize in GS( im too vehemently anti-CSAT allthough i wrote mains after CSAT in 2012.) so seeing all thi, i am happy thaat i did not qualify now only thing is our hand to exercise our right to franchise to the fullest thaat some change happens in 2017. i know 2 years is a long time but nothing else is there apart from tough IAS......last yr i wrote 2014 mains in novemebr and ias mains in December as a i result i lost precious 10 days for ias. felt that was a mistake although there was no surety that i would hv cleared ias had i not gicen 2014 mains. seeing all this i think you all should fell happy that you didnt qualify. at least i am......
gs-2was also leaked that is the reason it was not cancelled so that maximum number of bogus candidates can enter.gs-2 would have cancelled then they have to return the money they have taken...
@player10 : Awrite your post is lil scary... I somehow managed to clear pre scoring around 280- female, and already tensed with mains esp hindi paper and ur post kinda added to it. But a genuine request, please guide on how is the level of hindi exam in it and what all they ask...like if u remember few questions or if you can upload previous year question paper, it would be a great help...pleaseee !!!
sorry i loogged in to ee upsc results after a long time so could not see ur query.competition would be tough from hindi medium candidates who form a rigid bastion . constant practice can secure decent marks though. now ur paper is over else we could have discusssed it.
