Sorry mods, I know this is irrelevant to this forum. But overthinking nerds like ourselves are such a rarity, I couldn't find a better place to post this. Feel free to delete this thread.
Now, I am also leaning towards that theory. Since all evidence has been trampled upon, it case only be solved by deduction and in the parents vs servants sequence of events, the latter seems more logical. Even though some evidences very strongly point towards the parents, but it could just be that fate decided to fuck them that night in all the possible ways.
I think more relevant issue here is to see with what regularity Satyamev Jayate - our national epithet continues to be ridiculed day in, day out. I find it totally irrelevent now. And judiciary is one place where this is done with utmost regularity. You can't say Truth alone triumphs. May be truth also triumphs here and there.
The way our judges pronounce decisions is a case of closet justice - no accountability. Decisons are overturned upside down from one level of judiciary to other and there is no one to hold our honourable judges accountable. Justice is a everyday play for them. The way Hemraj's death and justice due to him was ignored is just pathetic. Class sympathies, personal prejudices anything can go unchecked in current system.
And another thing is our police service (considered always a state force than service) and investigative branch. The two needs to be separated as a least measure to improve their lot.
Couldn't agree with u more. Justice and enjoyement of rights in this country are a matter of accident. U may or may not get it. It's never assured. And thd probablity of not getting is always disproportionately higher.
This entire case was a gross miscarriage of Justice due to shoddy police work from day one. I just cannot still believe they didn't even take enough pain to check the terrace that day. A grisly murder has just happened, even an illiterate persons first instinct will be to quickly check the surroundings for vital clues. Typical Indian police paadu attitude, how clichèd.

One thing that strikes out in this case is that, the talwar couple have been painted as the monsters even before the case was concluded. Might they be the culprits, might they be not; but the way they have been denigrated in the public space is scary. They have lost their social life, a life of dignity even after they have been acquitted by the courts.
Well using Sherlock Holmes' theory that the most likely explanation is generally true, it does seem like parents were guilty.
How convenient that somebody murdered the Hemraj on the roof and locked the door using the lock whose key only the Talwars had & very convenient that they forgot the key too. Someone not only murdered their daughter, but went into their bedroom and took their key, murdered the servant on the roof & locked the door again.
A much more simple explanation is that where an argument with the daughter got too heated & led to her being injured fatally. Servant had to go too because he saw too much.
all the points u mentioned are also the evidence that cbi has used against the talvars. however, they can be countered.
there is a lot of confusion regarding doors n keys in this case, so many doors, some locked, some latched, some self locking, some open....
it could be that after a few drinks, one of the guys out of krishna, rajkumar, subhash murdered arushi --hemraaj gets damn scared n refuses to leave the house because he doesnt want to abscond or else it will mean extreme pain for his family, he would rather stay n tell the police what happened n who killed arushi-- two of the other men then overpower him and the third one would hit him on the head, thats why no noise-- they all go to the terrace to decide what to do -- at this point hemrajs head injury is kicking in, so he has to be dragged-- the terrace key in the gucchaa of keys that hemraj keeps in his room-- on the terrace the three men decide that its best to kill hemraaj-- in a state of haze they all quickly lock the terrace n leave along with the keys.
rajesh didnt keep the terrace keys and when asked the next morning, he just wandered around absent mindedly. understandable, he has just found his only child in two pieces. in fact it was his brother dinesh who insisted that the terrace lock be broken.
as far as arushis self lockin door is concerned, her mother had hung the keys in the drawing room itself after switching on the router at midnight. or it could just be that one of the servants just knocked on her door n she opened the door thinking its her mother to switch on n off the router, because it was acting up that night. she was attacked all of a sudden n couldnt scream bcoz she had a massive throat infection that day.

On the one page of high court judgement it is written that police had ignored very vital proof which was they found a pillow cover with blood stains on it in Krishna's house.
