He was immature, cynical and seemed desperate-qualities that shouldn't affect a civil servant. His work requirement was that of a problem solver- irrespective of their magnitude and not a ranter within the confines of a Harvard room. Didn't he know that he was signing up for this very 'Rapistan' civil services when he appeared for the exams? And what is this nonsensical act of bringing the entire South Asia within the comment. What gives him the right and privilege to speak about other countries. Is he speaking for Bhutan-among the happiest countries in the world? Is he speaking for Srilanka which has a greater HDI than India? He should understand the ramifications his statement as a government official has vis-a-vis India's foreign relations. His motives/goodness/badness are immaterial and indeterminable factors.
i have repeatedly said he is very very clever. he'll take a dig and mock the govt/india and then shift the goal post to say i never meant THAT. then hell act all innocent and play the victim (kasmiri/minority/father killed by terrorist) and again portray the govt as a villain. the worst part is the media plays him up and he get away with it- restoring his sense of arrogance and the feeling that he can get away with anything.
Without indulging into social media trials by reading one's character through tweets, I wish to know the service rules he had violated.
As per letter, it was failure to perform duty in honesty and integrity.
So saying (in one's view) patriarchy, alcohal, porn and technology etc. Clubbed together makes a land abode of rape... Is loss of integrity. Difficult to comprehend though.
Ok lets analyse case of Shah Faisal: Arguments for: We must put ourselves in his shoes before passing any judgement on him.Let no patriotism blind you to the fact that it is due to presence of Indian army only that Kashmir Valley is part of India. Majority of Kashmiri despise/negative towards Indian state and Indians..Army’s presence is not a pleasant one for Kashmiris ,the forceful occupation always ends up alienating citizens and breeds terrorism in face of powerful adversary. Specifically for Shah Faisal,he belongs to generation which has seen 1990’s turmoil very closely and sympathize with Kashmiris who suffered during that time. You cannot bribe a community with sops of jobs, subsidy etc. That is why even IPS brother is becoming terrorist or freedom fighter.
Arguments Against: There is a theory that he(and Kashmiri students today) was given exemplary marks in interview to set a “good” example for Kashmiris. There has been a sustained effort by minority to penetrate into civil services and Jamia Millia’s program for civil services is prime example of it. Anyways,he is in Harvard, enjoying “good life” and doing what is expected from a Kashmiri “elite”,align with Ford Foundation and NYT funded propaganda that India is savage nation of rapists(seconded by communists/Naxalites etc). By calling India rapistan,he conveniently obscures the reality that India has LEAST RAPES PER CAPITA.India is a nation of 125 crore, and one must use per capita figure to put things in perspective. India also has 2nd highest no. of Muslims,so is India Islamistan? India also is economic superpower if we use aggregate figure, but we know the reality.
To convert sunrise into sunset, these lobbies quote rapes per minute, why? We know!
Conclusion: Either he should leave services and join those with whom he sympathizes or follow code of conduct. But he will continue to enjoy best of both worlds. As for Kashmir,it is a case of what happens when Abhramics become majority- a harsh truth.Sheikh Abdulla fooled Nehru in believing that India could win the plebiscite, which could never happen.

If religions and their tendency to dominate differs based on their type and origin, Does that mean secularism interpreted as protection of minority should only be applied by seeing nature of religious majority? If abrahamic then protect minority If not, no special treatment required??

Well, there can never be equivalence between orgainzed and unorganized religions and their tendency to dominate. Can you imagine how diverse humanity was just 1000 years ago with Inca/Maya/Aztecs in americas,Hinduism in whole South east asia, and great indegenous cultures of Australia and Africa.I shudder to think how much cultural wealth was destroyed by organized religions in process resulting in 85c +57 I countries. Not to mention, planned genocides by spreading smallpox or deliberate starvation like in India.
America is secular, but Trump wanted to ban Muslims, even though they constitute only 1% population and have always been very peaceful. This says all about secularism, a western concept.

Pseudo nationalism is a mental disorder. The nationalists of our day have failed to move beyond a communal syllabus, while humanism and nationalism don't even need it. We don't have nationals, we have crusaders.
