Just to share a part of my journey which have met a dead end. Just to beware you people to refrain from the offense I committed unintendedly .
A story of tryst with my optional.
It was summer of 2017 I met Philosophy and fell in love with it.
But before I share a bond with her I was enquiring about its background via forum ias. Many fellow aspirants and seniors who share the same love guided me the way to impress my love. Everything was progressing gradually .I was making systematic move. Starting with Indian Philosophy, taking one step at a time.
On the way something big has happened. I found through messages by fellow aspirants that i can only win Philosophy by joining coaching as it requires deep understanding.
COACHING….No ways !!! I simply can’t afford it…!!
At that time Some fellows eased my way by offering me coaching videos in one go provided I shall pay the required amount.
It was easy for me to enhance my understanding simply by getting class videos.
I agreed for this and started to learn about my love diligently. That was a meticulous period fom oct to december 2017. As time took a turn to 2018 I got occupied with prelims prep and optional time reduced.
Fast forward June 2018 - I flunked prelims itself. A big shock and hard time from june to august 2018. Fellow aspirants can empathise how it feels when you work solely , monomaniacally for 1 goal and it gets away, far way from you. Nevertheless I stood back bcoz I know its me who has lacked somewhere or other.
September turned to be a surprise. I felt drastic improvement, test marks started getting doubled
Now comes the part for what I created this thread.
Aug 2018 - I broke up with philosophy and moved on with Psychology and the former took revenge.
I created a thread in forum few days back viz. BOOKS FOR SALE as I decided to sell all the study material of Philosophy I had, along with books it included those Videos as well. I was simply unaware from the beginning that this could violate someones copyright i.e. neostencil and would lead me to break the law and order.
It was the last weak of september I got a mail from legal team of neostencil that legal proceedings shall be started against me for copyright infringement.
Me in shock, immediately withdrew the offer and told to whom I was negotiating that its illegal I can't make the deal, sorry!!
However it was too late on my part. Neostencil had already started legal proceedings against me. I got legal notice stating that I have committed an offense under IT Act and Copyright Act.
My dear fellows I am here to bring into your knowledge that "Selling, Sharing or Buying of NeoStencil videos or other videos, without consent of creator, through a third party is an offense under Copy Right Act and Information Technology Act "
Unfortunately, I purchased such course from some individual "Sachin" on ForumIAS unknowingly, as I was not aware that such sale is pirated and illegal sale until Company initiated the damages and criminal case against me.
Therefore, I strictly advised all students and candidates not to buy any such material advertised here and sold on "Telegram"
Whatever I have done was done unknowingly, damages to company was done unarbitrarily by me. I regret for this.
Thereby I am here to aware you of what I was unaware. Here in forum there are many co aspirants who are deliberately indulged in business of selling reselling of class videos which they are not authorised to do. Please plz stay away from any such purchase. Neither commit the one. My appeal to all the aspirants to stay away from such business.
P.S. Neostencil excuse me for the unintended mistake, Fellas be aware before making illegal sale or purchase it could take toll on your career, Forum ias i sincerely request to plz create an official thread, a highlighted one to spread awareness in this regard.

Talk to teachers, of whom the lectures were and take their advice. They may talk back to NeoStencil.
What role did forumias play in it?
There is an existing FIR by NeoStencil in which ForumIAS is a party as being a platform.
We monthly receive notice from the Investigating Officer for co- operate for disclosing information of certain profiles with IP address and email Address.
We comply. There are at least three people we know who are fighting a legal battle for copyright infringement.
Apart from this there are two person who have been stalking female candidates or doing something stupid , here and somehow from here into the real world as well. They have also been sent for a small time in the jail as a criminal offence was committed and FIR has been lodged.
We request you to not do things here which you would not do in real life.
Also on being served a notice by an investigating officer (IO) we fully comply.
So if you know anyone doing this , please warn them and stop immediately. A lot of people here , we found from the police, are not sharing their course material for reducing cost of program, but are professionally selling the course illegally.
But the law only works when someone files a complaint.
So the day vision decides to file copyright infringements, would be a troublesome day for many.
Delhi high court also have favourable ruling to xerox shops which were selling photocopy. So I think that coachings can’t do much to xerox shops.
Usually institutes very high in quality worry about it - like neostencil (Pawan Kumar etc)
Other coaching guys actually get free marketing via xerox and rarely cry about copyright.
What wrong was done by the person above?
Do you share anyone's e-mail I'd (and god knows...Password also) to any Tom dick and Harry "investigation officer" just because you've got a notice?
Why no encryption?
And also why do I receive e-mails whenever Neyawn writes some blogpost. I don't have problem with those posts but I want to know whether he has access to the list of everyone's e-mail I'd here?
I know he is the founder, but shouldn't there be a Chinese wall separating his access to people's data. Just from an ethical POV?
