He doesn't take GS geography, only optional. GS geography is taken by Minocha.
- Geography of India, as its polity, has a direct reflection over Indian federalism (Explain diverse physiography, languages, tribes, culture etc of India).
- A Unitary govt implementing unilateral policies cannot resolve the regional issues and govern the people. It is necessary that every separate geographical unit has a specialized administration.
- Programmes such as Hill Area Development Programme (States like HP, UK, J&K and other NE states), Tribal ADP (NE states, A&N, areas under schedule 5 & 6), Backward ADP, Flood/Drought ADP etc. take care of needs pertaining to a particular region based on rough terrain or vulnerability to floods/drought.
