1. More names will be added, some of the people have been left out. The other two hospitals' list will come out early next week. 2. Some candidates could not complete all the tests and hence they have to 'complete' their medical tests. Those referred to the medical boards will have to get their re-medical done. Re-medical list should be out soon too- can't give you a date, apologies. 3. As mango_dolly said, July 31st seems to be the current buzz. Keep the coefficient of variability of a week. The list which comes out has ALL the candidates with their services. Some of the successful candidates this time around who are already in service and are not getting a 'better' one due to their ranks are writing to the DoPT of their own accord and asking the department not to allocate them any service. This is a very noble gesture on their part as it will check the post-list declaration confusion. Also, as I've heard, service allocation for the first 180-200 candidates will be over by Thursday/Friday this coming week.
Let me know if you need any other information, I'll try to help as much as I can.

@sattibabu There is no provision of any leave in FC and schedule in Fc is also quiet busy from early morning till late evening... Thats why dopt provides exemption from FC for those writing mains... But this time case is not clear though... The Foundation Course is a ‘No Leave’ course. NO LEAVE SHALL BE GRANTED during the period of training at the Academy. OTs are advised to settle / dispose off the matters requiring their personal presence before joining the Academy. http://persmin.gov.in/ais1/Docs/JI88-Mus.pdf
@Mirza : last year 457 general candidate were selected and the list for general ended i guess at 669 and this year 60 more general category candidate have been selected and so far we haven't heard someone with rank lower than 690s in general category so isn't it that density of candidates is higher this time for similar range of rank and so the service allocation for General could close before previous years rank or atmost on it . What's your view on it as then our guess of IRS-CE extending farther from 522 won't hold even in case of increase in number of seats .

i believe 550 is pretty safe bet where irs(c&ce) should end this year.. 1. If u see the ratio of general:reserved it is the same as last year. 2. The gap between general and reserve candidates marks has come down this year so the spread of reserve candidates along should be better this year. 3. 126 more seats this year..half are reserved.
baki hope for the best..only final list will tell... \:D/

@Gaurav0912 Pretty gud observation there... Let me add something... Last time there were approx 212 (669-457) reserved candidates in general merit and this year there are approx 176 ( 693-517) reserved category candidates in general merit... So definitely there are less reserved category people in general merit which is the reason why the merit went above by just 24 as compared to increase in 60 vacancies .... But as most of the increased vacancies are of customs thus customs would definitely go beyond 522... but how far it go we had to wait and watch...

hey where did u get the no. 693 as general closing rank...???
i believe one should concentrate on just RATIO's of the various distributions..
1. The general:reserved ratio for 2012 & 2013 is the same 457/998(not 1091)=0.4579 vs 517/1122(not 1228)=0.4607
2. The cutoff marks ratio for 2012 and 2013 after taking the decrease in marks awarded this year is also approx same; 936(general)-870(sc) = 66 for 2012 and 775(general)-719(sc) = 56 for 2013 66/936=0.0705 (2012) and 56/775=0.0722
3. There are 137 more seats this year (1228-1091)....(correction to my previous post where i said 126)....and 124 more selections (1122-998) this time out of which 60 are in general..
4. Last year irs-it(90)+ irs-ce(76) = IRS(166)(general) this year irs-it(77) + irs-ce(117) = IRS (194)(general) which means another 28 seats for IRS.
lets remember that 522 may not have been the initial closing rank for irs(c&ce), but the final one released in december after the sliding process had been completed...so i still believe that 550 should be a safe bet for irs(c&ce).....though it would still depend on what choices people have filled before u (in cse2012 IFS closed at rank 134 compared to in cse2011 where it closed at 162).....so keep ur fingers crossed...
Last year there were 25 candidates upto rank 522 who were not allocated any service ( as per the 2012 service allocation list on dopt site). This year also there will be many candidates with no rank improvement and hence they will not take any service...how many of such candidates are there will affect last rank for irs(c&e) in general category.
second factor is how many reserved candidates are there upto rank 522 and how many are there between 522 -693(which is last general rank as given above).
these two factors will most probably affect last rank for irs(c&e)
I have one doubt -whether the sevice allocation list which is available on dopt site comes out in mid august or it comes out in december after the sliding process gets completed. Please throw some light.

@dixitsmriti7 Service allocation list is available in month of august but there is mark of star in front of name of candidates who have chances of up-gradation.....
